Welcome to my first product review!
Today I'd like to introduce you to one of my absolute favorite lures for pike fishing – the jerkbait. More specifically, the Buster Jerk from CWC Strike Pro .
Anyone who has even the slightest interest in jerkbait fishing will sooner or later stumble across the Buster Jerk – and rightly so. This lure is one of the most well-known of its kind for a reason, having already landed countless pike. With its distinctive, bulky shape and aggressive action, it's a staple in my tackle box.
The Buster Jerk is 15 centimeters long and is available in both a sinking and a floating version. Depending on the situation and water depth, you can flexibly respond to the predators' needs. A real plus, especially when switching between different spots.
The lure can generally be fished year-round —whether in spring, summer, or fall. My personal favorite time, however, is spring , especially April and May . This is when many pike move to shallower areas to spawn or feed, and that's exactly when the Buster Jerk comes into its own. Short, hard strokes of the rod cause it to dart unpredictably from left to right—a movement that few predators can resist.
As for the price, they're around 15 euros each . It's not a bargain, but it's absolutely worth it for the quality and catchiness offered. With a bit of luck, however, or during special offers, you can get them for significantly less—so it's worth keeping your eyes open.
In my experience , highly reflective versions are particularly effective, especially the golden ones , when the sun is shining. They flash underwater like an injured prey fish, triggering precisely the aggression that makes the pike strike. I've had days when a golden Buster Jerk was almost a guarantee of a catch.
Here's one of my first pike this season. The bait, of course, was a Buster Jerk.
So much for my first review – I hope you enjoyed it. Now, of course, I'm really interested in:
